The job market right now, is "tortuous" yet there are scammers, biding their time, and waiting to capitalize on people's desperation. Today a good friend of mine nearly had her bank account emptied because of one of these vulturous scammers.
I created this page so that we as a people can start being more proactive about circulating the names of such scammers, to better inform our fellows wading through the pool of applications and the like. Craigslist, Career Builder, Monster, and countless other job sites are literally fishing expeditions for these scammers, because for every seven people that recognize the offered position to be a scam, there are at least three people that want to believe that there really is an administrative position that will pay them $18.00 an hour, with $200 bonuses if they perform their job promptly and accurately.
If you have been scammed, I invite you to publicly out these scammers, paste their templates, the whole works, so that someone else isn't taken for a ride.
A few sites that I found, and passed on to my good friend will be posted below. Some of the suggestions are common sense, and others are golden nuggets that those on the job hunt should be on the look out for.
